COTUL is calling for participants to attend a Training Workshop on Utilizing Emerging Technologies for Library and Information Services in the Digital Age will be held for five (5) days from 5th – 9th May, 2025, in Iringa Town.
Workshop theme
"Utilizing Emerging Technologies for Library and Information Services in the Digital Age"
Learning outcomes:
The training workshop intends to impart knowledge to participants to understand the following:
✔️ Emerging technologies in library services
✔️ Technological trends in library & information services
✔️ Artificial Intelligence-driven library services
✔️ Cloud-based library services
✔️ Ethical and policy implications of technology adoption
Dates: 5th – 9th May, 2025
Location: Iringa Town
Target group: Information professionals, librarians, ICT professionals, academics, researchers, Records Officers and archives personnel, and documentation officers.
Registration fee: A registration fee of TZS 600,000/ = should be paid for each participant from COTUL member institutions, TZS 650,000/= for non COTUL-members and the fee covers meals, refreshments, venue and training materials. Participants are requested to seek financial support from their parent institutions to facilitate their transport, accommodation and subsistence allowances to upkeep them while in Iringa.
